A source of minerals, trace elements, vitamins and medicinal plants, it helps keep in shape and strengthen the body of all types of horses during maintenance, especially when there is a shortage of grass or during the cold season. Equicomplement is distributed in the case of traditional feeding (cereals + hay + salt stone), but also in the case of forage feeding (grass and/or hay + salt stone) or distribution of a “basic” industrial feed: in these cases, it is enough to distribute 2/3 of the dose. The medicinal plants integrated into its original formula act on the different systems of the body and help to strengthen the botanical contribution of the ration. What to combine Equicomplement with? In case of loss of condition and/or appetite, you can distribute Fenugreek, a source of protein and with appetizing properties. In case of fatigue, difficult moulting or during a critical growth phase, distribute cod liver oil, a source of essential fatty acids and vitamins A and D. Should a CMV be given for a horse in the field? If your horse lives in the pasture all year round and does not receive a ration of pellets, it may be interesting to supplement its diet with a CMV. Indeed, grass or forage alone may not provide all of the essential nutrients to keep your horse in good health. Particularly in winter when grass is scarcer and less nutritious or in southern regions where drought can prevent you from having beautiful, nourishing grass.
